In commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the Eastern Campus of Metropolitan College a walk was organized in the Sainthamaruthu Kalmunai areas.
The walk was organized by the Metropolitan College Chairman and
former Kalmunai Municipality Mayor Dr. Siraz Meerasahib to mark the 5th anniversary of the Eastern Campus.
The walk commenced from the Eastern Campus of Metropolitan College main entrance and proceeded along the streets of Kalmunai and Sainthamaruthu Al-Hilal Streets and wounded up at the College entrance.
The Chairman Siraz Meerasahib addressing the crowd stated that the main Campus commenced in Colombo 24 years ago and the Eastern Campus of Metropolitan College was opened in the Eastern Province in 2018.
To mark the celebration ten scholarships worth Rs. 100,000.00 each were awarded by raffle draws. A staff felicitation was organized for the best performers who were awarded medals and certificate. Staff of the campus and students were present at the walk.
