Former Sri Lanka youth cap Lahiru Milantha produced a Player-of-the-Match winning performance as the Lumbini All Stars edged out Far West United in a Super Over in their Nepal T20 League match played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Kathmandu yesterday.
The 28-year-old wicket-keeper opening batsman hoisted two sixes in successive deliveries to help the Lumbini All Stars make 19 for one in the Super Over and conceded only 10 runs to their opponents during their run chase.
Earlier, the match ended in a tie with both teams scoring 137 runs each with Milantha contributing a useful 34 runs from 20 balls inclusive of four sixes and two boundaries.
