The Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture of Fiji Islands, Hon. Kalaveti Vodo Ravu, who arrived in Sri Lanka to participate in the 37th session of the Asia Pacific Regional Conference (APRC) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations held in Colombo recently, visited the Parliament of Sri Lanka on 21.02.2024.
The Fijian Minister met the Deputy Speaker Hon. Ajith Rajapakse, the Secretary General of Parliament Mrs. Kushani Rohandeera, and Chief of Staff and Deputy Secretary General Mr. Chaminda Kularatne and engaged in a friendly discussion.
The Minister stated that they expect to enhance the bilateral relations in the fields of agriculture and fisheries in the future.
Also, Hon. Kalaveti Vodo Ravu, met the former President, Member of Parliament Hon. Mahinda Rajapakse at the Parliament premises.
The delegation engaged in a Parliament tour and witnessed the debate held in the Parliament Chamber from the Speakers Gallery. Upon arrival of the Fijian Minister, the Deputy Speaker who was in the chair made an announcement by welcoming the delegation to the house.
