The University of Moratuwa has been temporarily closed after a group of students contracted dengue.
Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education Madhura Senevirathna said the decision was taken yesterday following consultations with health authorities.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of the university announced that all faculties will be closed for two weeks due to the risk of spreading dengue fever.
This closure comes after the University of Aesthetics was also temporarily shut down earlier due to students being affected by dengue. (Newswire)
