MP Mahindananda receives committee Chairmanship

Member of Parliament Mahindananda Aluthgamage was appointed as the Chair to the Sectoral Oversight Committee on National Economic and Physical Plans unanimously on March 21.

The first meeting of the Committee was held yesterday. Member of Parliament Gunathilaka Rajapaksha proposed the name and MP Dhammika Perera seconded it. As this committee deals with the monitoring of the economic policies implemented by the Government and the physical planning of the country, it is expected to be implemented without party bias, the new Chair Mahindananda Aluthgamage said.

Members of Parliament Eran Wickramaratne, Ashok Abeysinghe, Harshana Rajakaruna and Sudath Manjula were present.
