Nacha So Nacha Angngno to be launched tomorrow

The second edition of the novel Nacha So Nacha Angngno (Neither Caterpillar nor Butterfly) written by Mal Wijayarathne will be launched tomorrow at the All Ceylon Buddhist Federation Hall, 07 Baudhaloka Mawatha, Colombo. The book Nacha So Nacha Angngno was first printed in 2020.

Prof. Praneeth Abeysundara will deliver the keynote speech at the ceremony, organised as Nacha So Nacha Angngno Novel. Virajani Tennakoon, the writer of the State literary award-winning novel Makaranandaya will deliver a lecture on the relationship between ‘Mal Wijayaratne and Makaranandaya’.

Educationist Prof. Daya Rohana Athukorala, Prof. Samantha Herath, and veteran journalist Karunaratne Amarasinghe will deliver lectures.

Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, a former student of Royal College, State Finance Minister and Galle District MP Gayantha Karunathilaka will participate as special guests.

Mal Wijayaratne, who has retired from Royal College, Colombo wrote a number of books on subjects like Commerce, Accounts and Business Studies. These books were a great support to students in the 1970s, 80s and 90s.

Mal Wijayaratne also released a collection of short stories titled Siw Pasa Mithuro in 2013.
