The SLPP National Organizer, MP Namal Rajapaksa said that the door of the party is open to anyone who has left the party to come back. The MP said this while speaking to the media after a SLPP party meeting held in Anuradhapura.
Namal Rajapaksa said like former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says the “saloon door” of the SLPP is open and anyone can leave or join the party.
Namal Rajapaksa said that Basil Rajapaksa had always supported S.M. Chandrasena sans any conditions and had even developed an animosity with President Ranil Wickremesinghe as a result of the fight to get him the positions he desired.
He said the SLPP’s organisational structure was very strong and the party had a good second tier of leadership which could step at any moment if seniors leave.
