The National Umpires Accreditation Course conducted by Sri Lanka Badminton (SLB), will take place on December 2 and 3 in Colombo.
Applications for the course, conducted by the SLB Technical Committee, were already closed on November 28.
The National Umpires Accreditation Course programme is the stepping stone to becoming an internationally recognized official.
The candidates who enroll for the course will receive interactive training and guidance to keep them updated with the latest rules and regulations etc. To implement what they have learned in theory, they will be directed to officiate at future SLB-sanctioned tournaments.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Badminton National Umpires Refreshes Course 2023 also took place last week. A total of 75 National umpires representing all provinces took part in the Refreshers Course. All participating umpires will face a written exam on the second day of the course and will be directed to the upcoming National Championships for practical assessment and grading. (D.R.)
