National women’s tennis team off to Tajikistan

Sri Lanka women’s tennis team is participating in the Billie Jean King cup by BNP Paribas Asia/Oceania Group 2 Tennis Tournament which started yesterday in Dushanbe Tajikistan which will continue till August 28.

Eight countries Brunei Darussalam, Guam, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Usbekistan and Sri Lanka are taking part at this this tournament.

Sri Lanka women’s team comprises Anjalika Kurera (ICBT campus) and national champion Rukshika Wijesuriy (playing college team USA), Janali Manamperi (MAS Kreeda), Neyara weerawansa (British School Colombo), Hasali Gajaba (Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo) with Sujani Bogollagama as the Managwer while Gayanga Weerasekera is the coach of the team.
