The National Business Excellence Awards 2025 annual business awarding ceremony conducted by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka will be held in July 2025.
Accordingly the NCC of Sri Lanka invites the esteemed Sri Lankan business community to participate in the National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA), widely recognised as the premier symbol of business excellence in Sri Lanka.
It is significant that the NBEA is the flagship event marking its 20th consecutive year as the awards ceremony was initiated as far back as 2004 by the NCC of Sri Lanka. The NBEA has upheld its high standards and earned significant recognition within the business community for honouring Sri Lankan enterprises that contribute to economic development through exemplary business practices and governance. The structure of the NBEA evaluation process places greater emphasis on emerging trends, including the adoption of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the transforming nature of the workplace, and the growing preference for trusted, ethical, environmentally friendly, socially responsible organisations with robust governance structures (ESG). Key aspects incorporated into the application process include aligning organisational purpose with long-term sustainability, creating value for society and ensuring more wider participation.
Under this the competition features several categories ie Extra Large, Large, Medium, Small and Micro. These categories span 29 industry sectors whilst this structure offers opportunities for recognition across categories and evaluation criteria. “This year, 92 awards will be presented, including Overall Excellence Awards in Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The evaluation will begin with a Technical and Financial Panel and culminate with a Panel of Judges. Shortlisted applications will undergo review and interviews to identify the best business entities as award winners. The Grand Awards Ceremony will take place in July 2025,” President of the NCC of Sri Lanka Deepal Nelson said.
