Needs a political entity that can carry forward true Sri Lankan identity – Second Generation Kurunegala District candidate, Uvindu Wijeweera

Second Generation party Kurunegala District candidate, Uvindu Wijeweera said that the country needs a political entity that can carry forward the true Sri Lankan identity and the Second Generation was created with that vision in mind.

He said this at a political rally held in Wilwatta to support the victory of Mirigama Electoral Organiser of the party Ranjani Wickramarachchi recently.

He also said “Since 1935, parties have been formed in this country. Parties merged and formed new parties. But the Second Generation political path is not like that.

Despite gaining independence in 1948, the country has not yet been able to create Sri Lankan citizens who have a true Sri Lankan vision. Those parties only formed their own party members.

“We are working to create a political movement that propagates the true Sri Lankan identity. If there were philanthropists in Parliament who understand the suffering and pain of the people, there would be no need to kill patients by bringing inferior medicines to this country.

Due to the open economy, people who only think about money were born. They didn’t think about the environment or the animals. There are no people in today’s politics who know that value. Therefore, this country needs people who know the heritage of our Motherland and are truly committed to protect it.”
