Air Vice Marshal Vasu Bandu Edirisinghe has been appointed as the 20th Air Force Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force
This is to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the current Air Force Commander, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, on the 29th.
Born in Kandy in 1970, Air Vice Marshal Vasu Bandu Edirisinghe is an alumnus of St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy
He is currently the Director of Planning of the Air Force and joined the Air Force as a Cadet Officer in the 24th intake in 1991.
