President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed new provincial Governors today.
They were sworn in before the President at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo, a short while ago.
The newly appointed Governors are:
- Central Province – Prof. Sarath Abeykoon (former Vice Chancellor, University of Peradeniya)
- Southern Province – Bandula Harischandra (former Senior Administrative Officer)
- Northern Province – Nagalingam Vedanayagam
- North Central Province -Thissa Kumarasiri
- Sabaragamuwa Province- Champa Janaki Rajakaruna
