The leader of the Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB), Samagi Jana Sandhanaya (SJS) and opposition leader Sajith Premadasa worked to appoint new members to several powerful positions in the SJB and SJS.
Accordingly, former Member of Parliament Imtiaz Bakir Makar has been appointed to the position of Chairman of SJB for the year 2024 whilst former Member of Parliament for Kegalle District Kabir Hashim has been appointed for the position of General Secretary of SJS for the year 2024.
