Sri Lanka Police has introduced a new WhatsApp number for the public to make inquiries regarding police clearance applications.
The Police Clearance Division at Police Headquarters said the new facility came into effect on September 23, 2026.
The new service allows applicants to submit relevant information and make inquiries regarding their police clearance applications through WhatsApp messages.
Applicants can contact the Police Clearance Division via 071-8595950.
Police stressed that the number has been introduced for WhatsApp messages only.
The Police requested members of the public seeking information regarding their police clearance applications to take note of the new facility. (Newswire)
