The Institute for Research and Development in Health and Social Care held its stakeholder engagement event titled “No Development Without Research” at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla was held yesterday .
The event featured the unveiling of the Gaveshana Special Issue, a tri-lingual research magazine promoting research, featuring contributions from local and expatriate Sri Lankan professionals and celebrating local inventors.
The resource persons for this event were Prof. Athula Sumathipala, Prof. Ranjith Senarathne, Prof. Ajith De Alwis, Dr. Sunil de Alwis, Nalaka Gunawardene, Dr. Buddhika Fernando and Dr. Godwin Kodituwakku. The session will conclude with a comments and discussion segment, providing an opportunity for invited public representatives to share their thoughts.
The Institute for Research and Development,is a 27-year-old academic research institution comprising diverse experts committed to fostering a robust research culture in Sri Lanka. Aiming to bridge the gap between high-impact research and policy implementation, the institute promotes multidisciplinary studies and strategic partnerships to address societal issues and drive sustainable development.
