Presidential candidate of the ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ alliance, entrepreneur Dilith Jayaweera expressed his belief that other Presidential candidates are hindered in implementing the policies in their manifestos due to the influence of the political groups surrounding them.
Addressing a meeting held in Galle he stressed, “I have no obligations. There is no black economy that is supporting me. I don’t conduct three or four meetings a day. I don’t pay Rs 5,000 to bring people to meetings. There is no one to give me that much money. Neither will I accept. Such things would not hinder the true implementation of my policies”.
I represent a journey towards victory through a strategic programme based on concepts, making it a programme that no one can oppose, he added.
