The government has decided to maintain the current fuel prices without a revision this month eventhough the fuel prices should be revised according to the monthly price formula from March 1.
Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has decided to sell fuel at the existing prices without any price revision this month.
Lanka IOC Company and Sinopec Company will also not increase their prices.
Meanwhile, Litro Gas Chairman Muditha Peiris said there will be no revision in the price of a litro gas this month, even though the gas price should be revised in the first week of every month according to the price formula. Peiris said that the existing prices are valid for this month as well. Accordingly, a 12.5 kg gas cylinder can be purchased at Rs.4,250, a 5 kg gas cylinder at Rs.1,707, and a 2.3 kg cylinder at Rs.795.
