No room in country for communalism – NPP Leader

NPP Leader MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake said that everybody should be determined not to create any room for communalism.

He said so while participating in the Conference of  the Retired Tri-Forces Collective held in Anuradhapura yesterday.

“We all have to make a collective effort to save this country and the people from the destruction caused by certain parties without wasting time promoting various personal agendas,” he said.

“The NPP has been built to free our country from ugly, dirty, and destructive politics. We want to see a beautiful environment where Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim children study together in schools in peace and harmony. The success of the developed countries is that the people of those countries think about their countries without being racist or religious,” the NPP Leader said.

He said that our generation should have a firm determination that they will not allow communalism to raise its ugly head in the North or the South.
