Sri Lanka Freedom Party Treasurer and State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna yesterday said allegations levelled against himself and other like minded senior SLFP members regarding the destruction of party property were completely false and baseless.
Alagiyawanna said that the responsibility regarding the property and files of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party is vested with him as the Party Treasurer and under such circumstances he has not gone crazy to destroy property which are under his responsibility. Alagiyawanna recalled that all activities including allocation of funds for the maintenance of the party’s property are done under his approval and said that necessary steps have been taken to protect the property of the SLFP headquarters.
Alagiyawanna further said that although some people have made accusations with various objectives, he can assure all such accusations were false.
