The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has instructed former Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) Governor Arjuna Mahendran to appear before the court on 25 February 2025 in connection with a case filed by the Bribery Commission regarding the controversial bond issuance in 2015.
The lawsuit has been filed over the alleged mismanagement of bonds, which resulted in a financial loss exceeding Rs. 10 billion to the Sri Lankan government in 2015.
The order was issued today (26) by Colombo Magistrate Thilina Gamage, following a request from the Bribery Commission.
