The cross-over politics for the sake of positions and money should be ended, JVP and National People’s Power (NPP) leader Anura Dissanayake said.
Addressing a public rally in Biyagama, Anura Kumara Dissanayake said the NPP will win this year’s Presidential Election and will end cross-over politics. He said after the end of the war in 2009, there was an expectation of the people that an environment will be created where the Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims could live in harmony.
“None of those who ruled wanted to build a country where the people could live in harmony. They always want a country where there are conflicts, there are wars. This is for their petty political gains,” he added.
