Nuwara Eliya records lowest temperatures in Sri Lanka at 7.4°C

The Department of Meteorology states that the lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 7.4°C in Nuwara Eliya this morning (21 Jan).

It further notes that the minimum temperature recorded in Bandarawela this morning was 11.5°C, while in Badulla it was 15.2°C.

In Mahailluppallama, the minimum temperature recorded this morning was 17.4°C.

Meanwhile, in Anuradhapura, the minimum temperature recorded this morning was 18.6°C, according to the Met Department.

The Met Department also mentioned that the minimum temperature values reported from regional data‑collecting centres are displayed on the map below in degrees Celsius. (Newswire)
