Olympic wrestler Ernest makes his final journey today

Former Olympic wrestler Ernest Fernando passed away at the age of 84, yesterday. The funeral will take place at the Kohuwala Cemeterytoday at 4 pm.

Ernest Fernando brought honour to the motherland by representing Sri Lanka in wrestling at the Tokyo Olympics in 1964. His remains lie at the Jayaratne Funeral Parlour, Kalubowila. Sri Lanka Olympians Association President Sriyani Kulawansa requests all Olympians to attend the funeral to pay their last respects. (D.R.)
