Sri Lanka Freedom Party National Organizer, MP Duminda Dissanayake said President Ranil Wickremesinghe is the country’s luck and he has made great changes that no politician will ever do.
Joining the inauguration ceremony of ‘Jayagamu Sri Lanka’ People’s Mobile Service held at Salgado Grounds in Anuradhapura yesterday (31), he said that if these changes were made 20 years ago, we would not be in this situation today. “We worked against Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe until 2015 and joined him after that. People told him that he was incapable. Everyone says that he became President by default.
It can be his luck, as well as the country’s luck. He has made vast changes that a politician will never do. If these changes were made 20 years ago, changing the rules and regulations, we would not fall into a situation like today, but no one understood this.
“If we do not understand this today the future of our children will be bleak. Sometimes, public officials and people are not be happy about some decisions. The government proceeds despite objections. The changes must be done,” he said.
