United National Party Kotte Chief Organiser Dinesh Vidanapathirana said Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, who said that he will not even answer a phone call from the Rajapaksas, is holding talks with Namal Rajapaksa these days.
He mentioned this while attending a press conference held on August 6 at Sirikotha Party Headquarters.
Dinesh Vidanapathirana further said: “During the President’s visit to Jaffna, he met the legal community.
The President said that when choosing the President in an election, the people of the country should think about the Constitution and leadership as well as a leader who can take charge of the country without fear.
“Also, President Ranil Wickremesinghe will contest the Presidency as an Independent candidate in the next election with the support of a large number of people.
The President announced that the National Land Commission and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission will be gazetted this week.
