Our Generation Party Leader S. Karunanithi said his Party will not contest at the upcoming 2024 Parliamentary Election in favour of National People’s Power (NPP).
Karunanithi made this statement at a press conference held at Dr. N. M. Perera Centre, Borella on Friday (11).
He also said President Anura Kumara Dissanayake‘s Government is accepted as a good Government not only by us but also all over the world. So we should support him to make him get 120 seats, otherwise this country may turn into a country like Bangladesh. We don’t want to contest and break the votes, if his party wins it will be good for the country and he requested all Sri Lankans to vote for National People’s Power and strengthen the present Government.
Karunanithi said his party is not a party with business intention or any other expectation. “Let us strengthen the hands of the President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.”
He urged the Tamils, Muslims and Sinhalese in all districts of Sri Lanka to vote for good governance.
