More than 10 people have reportedly been hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision on the Southern Expressway between the Gelanigama and Dodangoda interchanges.
The accident involved a bus traveling from Matara to Colombo and several other vehicles.
According to reports, a bus transporting schoolchildren collided with a cab, triggering a series of collisions involving vehicles traveling behind them.
Two buses, six cars and several other vehicles were reportedly involved in the accident.
Following the crash, police diverted Colombo-bound traffic from Galle through the Dodangoda exit. (Newswire)
