Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts. Cloudy skies will prevail over these areas.

Heavy falls above 100 mm are likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Ampara, Batticaloa, and Monaragala districts after 2.00 p.m.

Strong winds of about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over North-central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central and North-western provinces.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers. (Department of Meteorology)
