Over 2,000 people have been killed in road accidents across Sri Lanka between January 1 and October 6, 2026, according to Sri Lanka Police.
The Police revealed that 2,095 people lost their lives in 1,988 road accidents recorded during the period.
Highlighting the alarming number of road fatalities, Police urged motorists and other road users to exercise greater caution to prevent further loss of life. (Newswire)
