Over 3,600 dengue cases reported this year

The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) has reported a total of 3,649 dengue cases across Sri Lanka within the first three weeks of this year. Additionally, two dengue-related deaths have been confirmed during this period.

The Western Province has recorded the highest number of cases, with a total of 1,576 infections. This includes 491 cases from Colombo District, 558 from Gampaha, and 95 from Kalutara District.The NDCU has also identified 22 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions countrywide as high-risk areas for dengue.
