Last year joint champion P. De S. Kularathne College, Ambalangoda, emerged champions of the Under 19 Inter School Division Two Tier ‘B’ Limited Overs Cricket tournament.
They beat Taxila Central College Horana by 35 runs in the final played at BRC. Having won the toss, P. De S. Kularathne College elected to bat first and posted 158 runs in 47.3 overs.
Maheesha Prabashana scored 41 runs. Dhanushka Madusanka (25) and Lasheen Wanindu (21) helped to build their innings. Charith Harshana claimed 4 wickets for 28 runs and Anjana Jayalath claimed 2 wickets. In reply, Taxila Central College, Horana, were bowled out 123 runs in 45 overs. Shahan Diwyanjana scored 54 runs. Lasheen Wanindu claimed 3 for 16 runs and Akila Chathuranga claimed 2 wickets.
