A Constable attached to the Kandy Police who went to control a clash between two groups at a musical show held near a hotel located on Second Rajasinghe Mawatha, Getambe, Kandy on Sunday was admitted to the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital after sustaining injuries in a fall.
An arm of the Police officer was dislocated and he had undergone surgery.The Police Constable is reported to have been assaulted while on duty at the premises, where the musical show was being held.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident so far. Kandy Police are conducting further investigations.
