In line with its long-standing commitment to cultural preservation, People’s Bank has offered to sponsor the construction of security posts at the western gateway of the Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi.
The foundation stone for this was laid at a ceremony held recently with the participation of Atamasthanadhipathi, Most Venerable Ven. Palligama Hemarathana Thera.
The event was also graced by People’s Bank Deputy General Manager Banking Support Services Nipunika Wijayarathna, Wanni Commander Major General Dinesh Nanayakkara and People’s Bank Anuradhapura Regional Manager Asitha Danawilawithana, as well as other staff members. Dignitaries such as government officials and police officers were in attendance as well.
