People’s Bank sponsored the ‘Sithuvili Siththam 2023’ competition, an all-island competition featuring art, posters and cartoons organized by the Child Protection Bureau in commemoration of World Children’s Day.
The inauguration event was held on October 1 at Temple Trees, where the winners were bestowed with prizes and certificates and the occasion was graced by a distinguished assembly, including Women and Child Protection State Minister Geetha Kumarasinghe, People’s Bank Chairman Sujeewa Rajapaksa, and CEO/GM Clive Fonseka. Officials from the Women and Children Empowerment Ministry and the National Child Protection Bureau, along with enthusiastic school students, also joined in to commemorate World Children’s Day.
The art competition which was organized with the primary objective of fostering awareness about child safety, honing skills and amplifying the voices of our young talents, saw a multitude of exceptional creations submitted across both the Schools and Open categories.
