An all night Pirith chanting ceremony will be held on Tuesday (October 31) at the Ananda College, Colombo followed by an alms giving on November 1 to mark the 137th anniversary of the College, says Deputy Principal of the College D.S.L.K. Maduranga.
The College was established on November 1, 1886, by Colonel Henry Steel Olcott who is one of the central figures in the struggle to consolidate the Buddhist revival movement of the 19th Century.
