The Police Spokesman said that the amount of cash stolen was yet to be ascertained. The Hingurakgoda People’s Bank Manager had lodged a complaint that the suspect had broken into the ATM by the Polonnaruwa-Habarana Road.
Investigations have revealed that the suspect had arrived by a small lorry and removed parts of the ATM using various tools, the Police Spokesman said.
