Police have launched an investigation into an incident at the Kuliyapitiya Meegahakotuwa junction, where one motorcyclist assaulted another using a helmet before fleeing the scene.
According to the Kuliyapitiya Police OIC, the inquiry is being carried out based on CCTV footage.
He said that, however, no formal complaint has been lodged regarding the assault so far.
The footage reportedly shows a man arriving from the Kuliyapitiya–Pannala road striking another rider travelling from Kuliyapitiya along the Madampe main road.
