Deputy Postmaster General (DPG) Rajitha Ranasinghe said that the Postal Department has distributed more than 10 million official polling cards for voting at the upcoming Presidential Election.
Ranasinghe said that the rest of the official polling cards will be distributed to the voters within the next few days and that the Postal Department expects to complete the distribution of the official polling cards by September 14.
The Deputy Postmaster General said that if any persons have not received the official polling card by September 14, such individuals can visit their relevant post offices with their identity cards and verify their identity and obtain their official polling cards, and the voters will have this opportunity to obtain their official polling cards from their relevant post offices until the day of the election.
The 2024 Presidential Election is scheduled to be held on September 21, with nearly 171.40 million registered voters eligible to cast their votes to elect the next President of Sri Lanka.
