Prabath Malavige youngest to be appointed MD to SLPA

A new Managing Director, Prabath J. Malavige, was appointed to the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) by Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation, Nima lSiripala de Silva yesterday.

Accordingly, in a remarkable career progression, Malavige, a Senior Port Management and Logistics Professional, has been promoted to the position of Managing Director at the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.

With over 18 years of industry experience, Malavige’s exceptional leadership and expertise have earned him this well-deserved advancement making him the youngest managing director in SLPA history. He has distinguished himself as the youngest professional ever appointed to the role of Managing Director at the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.

Malavige, who previously held the position of Additional Managing Director, brings a wealth of knowledge and a diverse skill set to his new role. Beyond his extensive experience in port management and logistics, he is also a Professionally Qualified Lecturer, Trainer, and Practitioner in Geo-informatics – GIS and Remote Sensing and Real Estate Management for over two decades.
