Yesterday marked the conclusion of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s four-day State visit to China. As part of the final day’s (17) engagements, the President visited several Electronics Manufacturing industries in the Chengdu region.
The President also toured a model village showcasing effective poverty eradication strategies. President Dissanayake met Communist Party Sichuan Province Secretary Wang Xiaohui. The President also visited the National Centre for Science, Technology and Agriculture.
Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath and Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation Minister Bimal Rathnayake accompanied the president.
