Assistant Leader of the United National Party and Senior Advisor to the President Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said that President Ranil Wickremesinghe had a vision and this vision has made the country victorious.
Kariyawasam said that the President was able to rebuild the country. “He has rebuilt the entire country as of today.”
“No one can govern a country without experience or vision”, he said.
“Today, the right person is sitting in the driver’s seat.”
“Due to the leadership of the President, we are receiving assistance from around the world”, he said.
The people are receiving relief through the ‘Aswesuma’ programme. An experienced leader such as President Wickremesinghe is essential to get the country out of the present situation”, he said.
Kariyawasam said that the President’s programme should be supported by all regardless of petty political differences. “I would like to question you whether any other leader has the ability to rebuild the country by dealing with the world”, he asked.
“All leaders of the country are rallying around President Ranil Wickremesinghe. He will receive support from the people in the North and East too.”
We have to struggle to liberate the country’s economy. In order to win that struggle, all people should be aligned with President Ranil Wickremesinghe, regardless of petty differences.
