President Ranil Wickremesinghe has stabilized the country’s economy through the programs he implemented over the past two years. It is now the responsibility of all citizens to ensure this progress continues without setbacks, said Chief Incumbent and Parivenadhipathi of Sri Sarananda Maha Pirivena, Anuradhapura Royal Pandith, Ven. Udagabbala Gnanaloka Thero(MA).
After addressing the “Puluwan Sri Lanka” victory rally at Salgadu Stadium in Anuradhapura yesterday (17), the President visited Sri Sarananda Maha Pirivena, where he met with Venerable Udagabbala Gnanaloka Thero. They exchanged pleasantries and engaged in a brief conversation. The Thero then chanted Seth Pirith and extended his blessings to the President.
The President also inquired about the development of the temple and discussed the government’s plans to transform the historic Anuradhapura sacred city into a world-renowned Buddhist city.
State Minister Shehan Semasinghe, Chief of the Presidential Staff and Senior Adviser to the President on National Security and Sagala Ratnayaka, along with former Ministers Daya Gamage and Anoma Gamage, were also present during this visit.
