A gazette notification has been issued imposing a maximum retail price on locally produced canned fish.
The order, issued under Section 20(5) of the Consumer Affairs Authority Act No. 9 of 2003, states that no local manufacturer, packer, distributor or trader may sell, offer for sale or display the specified canned fish products at prices exceeding the prescribed maximum retail prices.
