The Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association (LPBOA) President Gemunu Wijeratne said a decision has been taken to reduce bus fares by 5 percent with effect from July 1.
Accordingly, the minimum fare will be reduced from Rs.30 to Rs.28.He said decision was finalised during a meeting held yesterday between Transport Ministry officials and private bus operators.
