Yesterday (19) afternoon, a father protested by climbing the pillar at Naiwala junction in Veyangoda, stating that his son was arrested for a crime he did not commit and was produced before the court on drug charges and remanded in custody.

It was revealed that the remanded youth is a 24-year-old resident of Udugampala area in the ​​Minuwangoda police area of authority.

The mother of the young man who was remanded, said that on July 12, her son was arrested by the Minuwangoda police while riding a motorcycle on one wheel on the Udugampala Minuwangoda road with a group of friends, and that later he was produced in court on drug charges.
