The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay reached Sri Lanka yesterday (3) afternoon, at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Sarah Hulton, President of Commonwealth Games Association in Sri Lanka, Suresh Subramaniam, and other dignitaries from the Ministry of Sports officially welcomed the Baton at the Bandaranaike International Airport. The Queen’s Baton reached Sri Lanka from the Maldives and will move to key sites in the country on January 4 and 5 before heading off to Bangladesh.
A special reception was held at the UK High Commission in Colombo.
