The South Asian University (SAU) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Regional Centre for Strategic Studies (RCSS) in Colombo to promote research, academic cooperation and regional engagement across South Asia.
According to a joint release, the agreement will facilitate joint research, capacity-building, knowledge exchange, policy dialogue, publications and conferences, while creating opportunities for young scholars.
The agreement is the first MOU signed by SAU with an independent research think tank in Sri Lanka. SAU President Prof. K.K. Aggarwal said the partnership would strengthen the university’s relationship with Sri Lanka and support efforts to advance the SAARC mandate.
RCSS Executive Director Ambassador Ravinatha Aryasinha said the agreement would provide opportunities for collaboration in research and policy dialogue.
The MOU was launched virtually with participation from representatives of SAU in Delhi and RCSS in Colombo. (Newswire)
