Refresher course for Wushu conducted at Polgolla

A Refresher Course of the sport of Wushu was organized by the Wushu Federation of Sri Lanka held at the Polgolla Co-operative Training Centre recently. Sixty two Wushu Coaches all over the Island participated at this four day refresher course and three female wushu coaches and a Buddhist Priest also participated. The sport of ‘Wushu’ is one of the Historic sport disciplines in Sri Lanka. his Refresher Course was conducted with the instructions of Manel Dharmakeerthi, the present President of the ‘Wushu’ Federation of Sri Lanka and the General Secretary of the South Asian Wushu Association.

Manel Dharmakeerthi is Internationally qualified as an ‘A’ Grade Referee and Judge and some of the Officials of the Wushu Federation who participated were nishantha Pathiraja,& Kithsiri Subasinghe,- the Vice Presidents of the Federation, Ajantha Bandara-Assistant Secretary and Senaka Samaratunge-District Secretary, Kandy who were present through-out the Course.
