The night mail train from Colombo Fort to Badulla was disrupted by a rock fall between Haputale and Diyatalawa railway stations early yesterday morning (17).
A large boulder had fallen from the top of the mountain near the 156/13th mile post and at the same time the front engine of the train had got stuck on the fallen boulder, when the train was passing the Haputale station towards Diyatalawa,a Railways spokesman said.
